Ambassador Program

The Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Team is the premier volunteer group receptive to the needs of all members. Our Ambassadors gather information vital to a proactive Chamber.

Mission
1. Inform new members of the many benefits and services afforded them by Chamber membership, by personally delivering an information packet to each new member, inviting them to meetings and encouraging their involvement.
2. Aid in retention of current members by providing feedback to the Chamber staff and Board of Directors regarding needs and issues of concern to members through completion of survey forms. Encourage member involvement on committees and at chamber functions. Provide every member the opportunity to be visited at least once a year.
3. Increase membership in the NVCC, by inviting non-member companies to join the NVCC and provide qualified leads to the Vice President of Membership.
4. Assist in making new and inactive members feel welcome at Chamber events.

John Gorham (The Bulfinch Group) has been named Ambassador of the Quarter (1st Q 2010).

John Gorham, CLU is a financial specialist with Bulfinch Group, a financial firm located in Needham, Massachusetts. He works with individuals showing them cost effective ways to help maximize and protect their assets and minimize the impact of taxes.

John's goal with every client is to seek the creation of additional wealth while providing appropriate protection against the eroding factors surrounding one's financial life. More specifically, John uses Planned Financial Strategies," a specialized methodology which provides a holistic approach that helps his clients consider their life's goals and values and then make intelligent decisions regarding the best use of their money. Furthermore, he offers an easily implemented process to evaluate the results of these decisions. By focusing on strategy first, he strives to increase the effectiveness of the plans they build together.

John is an active member of the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce and is president-elect of Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary. He is also a Chairperson of the Ambassadors Group, previously serving on their Board of Directors. John won the Ambassador of the year award for seven consecutive years. The award is now named after John.

John is also very active in his community, volunteering at the Dedham Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels. He is past President of the Boys and Girls Club. His hobbies include photography, hiking, biking and running.
