Chamber of Commerce Committees

The NVCC offers a wide variety of opportunities for you to get involved and share your talents and interest with other members. Committee involvement is one of the most effective ways to get the most out of your membership. Ambassadors

The mission of the Ambassador Team is to inform members, especially new and inactive ones, through delivery of new member packets and invitations to upcoming Chamber events. To aid in retention of current members by providing feedback to the Chamber staff and Board of Directors regarding needs and issues of concern to members through completion of survey forms. Education and Business Committee (EBC)

The Education and Business Committee promotes learning within the schools and community to ensure all students, parents and business partners have the experience, knowledge, values and opportunities to succeed in the workforce and contribute positively to the community. Communications and Technology Strategic Planning Committee

To embrace emerging trends in communications and technology and to seek improvements in effectiveness and efficiency in NVCC communication efforts and the promotion of the chamber and its members. Chairman: TBA, Staff liaison: Cristoff Shay, Vice President of Programming and Communications

Governance Committee

The Governance Committee is responsible for ongoing review and recommendations to enhance the quality and future viability of the board. It focuses on the following six areas, with specific duties dependent on board needs at any specific time: Board roles and responsibilities, composition, knowledge, effectiveness, leadership and ongoing by-law review. Government Affairs Committee

The mission of the Government Affairs Committee of the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce is to review pending legislation and regulations for their impact on the membership, develop positions that will enhance economic growth, and develop programs that inform and encourage members to participate in the Chamber's government affairs initiatives. Membership Committee

To create and implement effective strategies and programs for member recruitment. Ensure that a current database of prospective members is maintained, encourage a creative referral program, plan recruitment activities as needed, ensure that new member orientations are offered to encourage member engagement.
