Networking Opportunities

The Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce knows that the best way to get your message across and to develop more business is through networking. Therefore, the Chamber is pleased to provide many varied networking opportunities each month for you to introduce your business to others. Noon Networking (12:00-1:30pm) (Usually the 2nd Tuesday of the month with rare exceptions). A structured, yet friendly event, networking allows you to promote your business with the assistance of facilitators. Members $25, nonmembers $50. Reservations are required (and please remember that a reservation made, is a reservation paid.) $5 surcharge for walk-ins. "How to Network" Seminar (10:30am — held just prior to the Noon Networking) Learn a handful of networking tips that you can begin using right away. You will learn how to briefly introduce yourself with an 'elevator pitch' , why it's best to listen more than you speak when you first meet someone, and how to help others to help you give and get referrals. The How to Network Seminar is presented by Kevin Hallinan, of WINNING, INC. This seminar is offered 10:30 - 11:30am immediately preceding all Noon Networking meetings. The cost is $25 for Members/ $50 Non-members. Reservations are required and please remember that a reservation made, is a reservation paid.

Business After Hours (5:30-7:30pm) Join us for great informal networking with food and drink hosted by various NVCC members. (Usually the 3rd or 4th Thursday of the month) Reservations are required. $10 for Members/$20 for Non-Members.

Consider hosting a Business After Hours and get great exposure for your company! You must be a member in good standing and have attended at least one recent Business After Hours. You provide the hors d'oeuvres and drinks, and we will take care of getting the crowd by advertising your event in our newsletter and area newspapers. Contact for details.

Volunteer Networking Get out and get seen! The more you are seen, the more business connections you'll make. So solidify those relationships and volunteer! You'll meet like-minded individuals by volunteering at the Golf Tournament, the Flavors Event, the Ambassador Program, or any of the NVCC committees. Please contact any of the staff for additional information on volunteer opportunities.

MEGA Business Expo: This top-flight business-to-business trade show is the highlight of the year for marketing to the local business community. This annual event is a sell-out with nearly 150 exhibitors and at least 500 guests walking through. NVCC members get a discount on exhibit space. The MEGA Business EXPO is held in October at Christina's located on Rt. One in Foxboro, MA. Learn more.

Referral Exchange Networks (REN groups) The Referral Exchange Network provides a structured environment for the development and exchange of quality business referrals. You will meet other enthusiastic NVCC members who are interested in helping you grow your business by passing qualified referrals, sharing ideas, and having some fun in the process.

There are currently 6 REN groups, meeting on different days, usually 8:00-9:00am, at the NVCC offices. Only one member per profession is permitted in each group. This allows each member to spotlight his/her business in a non-competitive environment within each group.

Speed Networking (time varies) Staff Liaison: Cristoff Shay Join us in this fast and efficient way of networking. We give you the opportunity to have at least 10 1-on-1 meetings in a more focused, more structured environment, within a set time frame. You will meet individually with at least 10 different business people, for 6 minutes each, to exchange business cards, and tell each other about your businesses. Reservations are required, a $20 fee for Members / $35 for Non-members.
