who will run the business? Many times, family loyalties,
poor planning, politics, and relationships influence the
decision. Sometimes the results are great, sometimes
not-so-great. This hands-on workshop is aimed at helping
you, the family and the business make better-informed,
rational decisions about leadership. Be prepared to be
engaged, and to learn about how to identify, develop and
grow the leaders you need. Date: March 12, 2008

Family Business Awards
Announcement |
The Neponset Valley Chamber of
Commerce is pleased to announce that the firms of two of
its members, Michael Cecere, the
accounting firm of Gray Gray
& Gray, LLP and Al DeNapoli,
the law firm of Tarlow
Breed Hart & Rodgers, P.C., are again two of the
seven Gold Sponsors of the Massachusetts Family Business
of the Year Competition and Awards
program.
This annual
awards program, which recognizes and honors the most
successfully operated and managed family businesses in
Massachusetts, is a by product of the collaboration of
the Northeastern University Center for Family Business,
www.fambiz.neu.edu, and the Family Firm Institute New
England Chapter, www.ffi.org. The Awards
Program is designed to promote and highlight some of the
great achievements of Massachusetts-based, family-owned
businesses and entrepreneurs.
Not unlike
the rest of the country's economy, many of the most
successful businesses in the Neponset Valley region are
family businesses. Moreover, many of these businesses
are members of our Chamber of
Commerce.
We are pleased to be able to offer to our
members here and on our web site
the opportunity to gain
well deserved recognition and promotion of your business
through this competition and Awards Program.
Applications and further information may also be
obtained, of course, by speaking to either Michael
Cecere or Al DeNapoli, or by accessing directly the
website for the Awards program at www.nuffi.org.
Entry Deadline: March
31, 2008
