Chamber Awards

Nearly 200 guests attended the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce 115th Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony on January 15th at the Four Points by Sheraton Norwood. We are pleased to announce the installation of Peter S. Chase, Esq. (Truelove, Dee & Chase) as Chairman of the Board for 2009.

Three deserving NVCC members were honored for their outstanding service to the Chamber. The Paul Smith Small Business of the Year Award was presented to Carrie and Raymond Brouwer of Flowers & More Design Studio in Walpole. Originally designated The Paul Smith Award for Outstanding Volunteerism, this award recognizes outstanding commitment to NVCC's goals and members who exhibit the traits personified by the late Paul Smith, Sr. in recognition of the many years of service to NVCC. On hand to present the award to Carrie and Raymond were Fran Smith and Paul Smith, Jr., of Datasmith Network Solutions.

Kevin Casey, General Manager of the Four Points By Sheraton of Norwood accepted the award for The Large Business of the Year. This award is presented to a member who demonstrates outstanding achievement in general management, employee relations and community responsibility.

President & CEO, Lester Schindel (l), of New England Sinai Hospital accepted the the Non-Profit Business of the Year Award, presented by NVCC President & CEO, Sue McQuaid, and Chairman Chase.
